Actor Keith Barron, who was well known for his appearances in a number of sitcoms, has died. He was 83.
Barron was probably best known as the star of Duty Free, the ITV sitcom, which ran from 1984 - 1986, in which he played the adulterous husband David Pearce holidaying in Marbella.
He also appeared in Coronation Street, Randall and Hopkirk (Deceased), A Touch of Frost, Doctor Who, Casualty and recently harked back to his Duty Free era by appearing in Benidorm in 2009 as the Deputy Mayor.
Reports say Barron (picture from 2006 BBC drama The Chase) died after a short illness.
