Comedian Susan Calman found herself in a dance-off with Alexandra Burke in Strictly Come Dancing this week.
After finishing bottom when the judges voted on Saturday night, Calman's survival in the show depended on the judges' verdicts when she and her partner Kevin Clifton took to the floor against singer Alexandra Burke and her partner Gorka Marquez.
Would she make it through to next week's show? Sadly for Calman fans the judges put Alexandra Burke through to the quarter finals.
After the result was announced Susan Calman tweeted: "Thanks to everyone who voted for us in Strictly. I've had the time of my life dancing with @keviclifton. It's been a pleasure from start to finish. I've had the time of my life. Thank you, thank you, thank you." She added: "And thanks to the lovely people at Pollokshaws Burgh Hall for letting us train in their ballroom every week. A brilliant place run by kind and gorgeous people."
Calman has been one of the most popular contestants on Strictly Come Dancing in recent years. She has had support from high profile celebrities such as JK Rowling as well as the public. She is one of the first contestants, along with Jonnie Peacock, who has been named as one of the stars of the Strictly Come Dancing Live tour next year. Dates & Tickets here.
