Comedian Russell Kane is to host a new podcast being made for the BBC entitled Evil Genius.
Each week Kane will be joined by a panel of friends to delve into the darker, lesser-known sides of some of the world’s cultural icons including Einstein, Roald Dahl, Evelyn Waugh and Marie Stopes.
Episode 1 looks at one-time Beatle the late John Lennon. Lennon is best known as the famed singer-songwriter, peace activist and co-founder of the most successful band in the history of popular music, but what was he like behind closed doors? Russell Kane and friends - author Caz Frear and comedians Sean McLoughlin and Rachel Parris investigate.
First episodes of all new BBC podcasts are available at BBC Podcasting House which allows audiences to easily sample more of the BBC’s podcasts.
