The writers of This Country, Inside No. 9, Car Share and Catastrophe have been shortlisted for Wrier: Comedy Awards in the British Academy Television Craft Awards Nominations in 2018.

The nominees are Daisy May Cooper and Charlie Cooper for This Country. Sharon Horgan and Rob Delaney for Catastrophe. Steve Pemberton and Reece Shearsmith for Inside No. 9 and Paul Coleman, Peter Kay and Sian Gibson for Peter Kay's Car Share. 

Daisy May Cooper and Charlie Cooper are also nominated in the Breakthrough Talent category.

Elsewhere MacKenzie Crook is nominated for his work on Detectorists in Best Director: Fiction category.

And Charlie Brooker has been nominated in the Writer: Drama category for the anthology series Black Mirror, which has also received four further nominations in the categories of Photography and Lighting: Fiction, Production Design, Sound: Fiction and Special, Visual & Graphic Effects.

The winners will be announced on Sunday, April 22.
