Following a highly successful Edinburgh Festival run, comedian and NHS junior doctor Ed Patrick has launched the new podcast of his Comedians’ Surgery where comedians join Ed to discuss their real-life health stories. You can hear episodes with guests including Joe Lycett, Angela Barnes, James Acaster, Andy Hamilton, Rose Matafeo, and Tez Ilyas here at https://www.edpatrickcomedy.com/cspodcast/
In addition Ed has opened the doors to his Comedians’ Surgery live show in its new home at the Canal Cafe Theatre in London. Continuing on Sat March 24th at 7.30pm with guests Ahir Shah and Alice Marshall.
Comedians’ Surgery takes on everything from Asthma to STIs. Each show combines guest stories with Ed’s insights from the NHS - putting individual experiences in wider context and exploring some of the biggest issues in modern healthcare, from the unusual to the everyday. Expect frank tales, true-life experiences, and guests who had to book an appointment six months ago.
Ed was nominated for Leicester Mercury Comedian of the Year 2016 and has contributed to The Guardian - writing about the intersection between humour and health.
