Rachel Parris and Joel Dommett are among the comedy acts that have been added to this year's Latitude Festival line-up.
They are joined by Kat Bond, winner of Vault Festival Comedy Award 2017. In The Cabaret Theatre, Soho Theatre present a hand-picked selection of some of Soho’s finest acts including Nina Conti’s Monkey & Roy, plus Diane Chorley, Pecs, Tash & Ellie, Sophie Willan and Irish stand-up comedian Eleanor Tiernan. Joel Dommett will be doing a stand-up set and also taking part in a panel discussion on modern love.
Over in The SpeakEasy, Sam Golin (as seen on GINX TV’s Console Yourself, and Challenge TV’s Videogame Nation) and Bisha K Ali (as seen on BBC3) present geek-culture themed comedy in their Cult Comics.
An eclectic range of award-winning writers, poets, podcasters and authors will perform in Latitude’s legendary SpeakEasy, including laureate of punk and reluctant national treasure John Cooper Clarke and nature writer Patrick Barkham. Travis Alabanza, a transfemme gender non-conforming performance artist, will perform work from his debut acclaimed chapbook Before I Go Outside [You Love me], while other spoken word performances include teacher turned battle rapper Mark Grist, poetry slam champion Daniel Piper, and more.Comedian and music nerd Gabriel Ebulue will bring his Three Track podcast to the festival where he and a guest will geek out over their musical tracks.
