Comedy management and production company MZA has announced its full 2018 Edinburgh Festival Fringe line-up across three venues.
This year, for the first time as part of Pleasance at EICC, and marking MZA’s 7th year in the venue and 30thyear at the Fringe, Jimeoin celebrates his 25th year of bringing shows to Edinburgh in August with RESULT! as well as extra 10pm shows called ROAST CHICKEN RESULT! (you’ll have to see the shows to find out why); Scotland’s favourite kilted comedian Craig Hill (pictured) celebrates his 20th Edinburgh season (and 2 decades of superb show titles) with C’MON THE LADS!; and Daniel Sloss (pictured, who has just announced the release of 2 full-length Netflix specials to stream worldwide in 2018)) marks his 11th Fringe with his 10th solo hour – entitled simply X.
At the Gilded Balloon, Set List (the improvised stand-up phenomenon as raved about by the late Robin Williams) makes a welcome return as well as new shows by popular fringe regulars Kai Humphries (pictured, the Geordie comedian who regularly tours across 25 European countries with Daniel Sloss and who, along with his brother, masterminded the extraordinary Comedians Boxing “Fight For Kian” literally life-saving charity event culminating with them together in the ring for the last fight on the card), Micky Bartlett (a favourite in Norn-Irn – the Lurgan stand-up, compere and actor who is rapidly rising through the comedy ranks with his live shows, creating digitals for BBC “Tight Shorts” and regular studio warmups for Netflix and Top Gear) and Gareth Waugh (the Edinburgh local whose fringe debut last year sold out its’ entire lunchtime run and garnered rave reviews as well as bagging him an Australian tour.)
At Underbelly, the multi Award-winning stand-up Mark Nelson is taking a break from clocking up over 130 million views of his “News at 3” clips co-starring his young daughter and is bringing back his 2017 sold out show “Irreverence” for 3 nights to the Cowbarn.
