A JustGiving Campaign has been set up to raise £1000 for comedian Stu Who who has been unable to work recently due to serious illness.
Three weeks ago his wife Maggi found him collapsed in the living room. The veteran stand-up, who has Crohn's Disease, spent the next eight days in intensive care, on a drip, monitored and on antibiotics and huge doses of steroids before returning home.
The comic, who was an integral part of the Funny Farm comedy group which started in the early 1990s, believes that his vegetarian diet that he thought was doing him good may have contributed to the deterioration in his health.
Since returning home he is on the mend, but understandably has lost earnings and is still not fully recovered yet.
The campaign was hoping to raise £1000. It has already raised over £2000 but you can still donate here.
