Publisher HarperCollins has moved forward the release date of Iain Stirling’s first book Not Ready To Adult Yet by two weeks from the 23rd to the 9th August and it is available as an eBook now. In the book Stirling looks back at his journey to adulthood, why the generation are the way they are and whether that makes us self-obsessed, work-shy, mollycoddled, egomaniacs; or just misunderstood with a crippling fear of failure.
Iain continues to enjoy widespread acclaim for writing and voicing witty one-liners on the fourth series of BAFTA-winning Love Island, which recently became ITV2’s most watched show in the history of the channel after last Monday’s episode peaked at 4 million viewers and was seen by an average audience of 3.4 million. The show also pulled in the highest 16-to-34-year-old audience of any digital channel programme ever, with 1.7 million young viewers watching out of the total 3.4 million.
Following recording in Mallorca, Iain is set to head home to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe to present three special nights of Iain (Stirling) Does Jokes (With Pals) at the EICC. From the 22nd – 24th August at 10pm, joined by some of the festival’s best comedians. Iain then hits the road for the second, and final, tour extension of his critically-acclaimed stand-up hour U Ok Hun?, where he explores the pressures stemming from a world of instant gratification.
Alongside Love Island, Iain is currently on our screens hosting a second series of ITV2’s Broadcast Digital Award nominated CelebAbility which is regularly peaking at over 1 million viewers per episode. He’s also released a weekly podcast chatting around themes of the new book with friends, fellow comics and his mum which has reached number 1 in the iTunes Podcast charts.
Tickets for the Edinburgh Festival Fringe and tour extension are available through Iain’s website, the book, Not Ready To Adult Yet is available to pre-order on Amazon and the podcast, Not Ready To Adult Yet is available through iTunes
