Boston comedian Alex Edelman has topped the chart for the best-reviewed show at this year's Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

According to research carried out by the British Comedy Guide  the Edinburgh Comedy Award-nominated stand-up's show Just For Us received the highest ratings from critics out of more than 1800 different shows.

The British Comedy Guide collected more than 4,700 reviews from 135 different publications and worked out the results. To be eligible shows had to have been reviewed at least 8 times. Edelman had 14 five star reviews from different critics.

The top ten is as follows.
