Dudley Sutton, who famously appeared in BBC sitcom Porridge (pictured) and was known for playing Tinker Dill in the TV series Lovejoy, has died aged 85.
Sutton’s representative Natasha Stevenson told the Press Association that the actor died on Saturday afternoon.
Sutton starred opposite Ian McShane in Lovejoy from 1986 to 1994.
He also appeared in The Sweeney, EastEnders, Holby City and Skins.
Sutton was born in 1933. He was in the Royal Air Force before enrolling in the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art.
He appeared in films including The Devils (1971), The Pink Panther Strikes Again (1976) and The Football Factory (2004).
