A memorial gig is to be staged to remember comedian John Cowley, previously known as Jack Russell, who died, aged 53, in September.

The show will take place on Sunday, October 28th at the Backyard Comedy Club in east London at 8pm.

The plan is to show a 45-minute film of a set he did in Indonesia – he was the first UK stand-up to play there. There will also be some other shorter clips of Cowley/Russell in action.
