Edinburgh Comedy Award-winner Sam Simmons returns to the Soho Theatre with the world premiere of his brand-new alternative show for Christmas.
Sam Simmons is Away in a Stranger is an alternative Christmas show which answers life’s big questions: What is you? Where is me? When have I been all your life? Why am I doing this? How…? Join Sam to witness the miracle birth of the baby Greg* Wrap a biro in sausage meat and sit around the open pug while we all raise a warm mug of yoghurt to Greg.
Oh, and don’t forget to give a hot boiled egg to the bus driver and pop a radish up your arse on Gregmas Eve. One man’s quest to touch it heaps.
Sam Simmons is one of the most unconventional comedians this planet has ever seen. Belligerently original and congenitally absurd, he has dedicated much of his life and any prospect of financial security to his advocacy for the life affirming necessity of silliness. Having won the two biggest comedy awards in the world in Edinburgh and Melbourne, Sam now splits his time between London, Los Angeles and Sydney. He has countless TV credits from BBC One’s Live At The Apollo, Channel 4’s 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown to provided the voice of Mr Wallaby in Peppa Pig.
This is Sam’s first show in the UK since A-K in August 2017.
Sam Simmons is Away in a Stranger runs from December 10 - January 5. Book tickets here.
