Barry Cryer's son Bob has posted an update on his father following reports that the 83-year-old comedian had had a fall and broken his hip.

Bob Cryer has given fans some good news: "Just got off the phone with a slightly woozy veteran entertainer post op. All is well - ‘just’ a pin, no replacement. As Dad’s damaged his hip, I’m sorry to say that it’s now a veritable ocean of gags for the foreseeable.
