Luke and Matt Goss have spoken for the first time about the access all areas documentary about them that caused a sensation when it was screened on BBC4 just before Christmas.
Following a suggestion that they were unhappy about the response to the film Luke Goss has tweeted: "Contrary to a certain UK newspaper....I’m over the moon with the reaction of the Documentary! Those guys love an angle lol anyway...thank you all for being so vocal and supportive about our #film sending #love as always "
And Matt Goss has added: "Likewise… Sorry “certain newspaper” LOL that’s the good thing about social media, you can’t do what you did to us before. We are absolutely grateful and ecstatic about the response to our movie. Thanks everyone."
They were presumably referring to a story in the Mail Online which had the headline: "Luke Goss says he's 'sick of the ridicule' after unintentionally hilarious Bros documentary had viewers likening them to The Office"
The piece included a quote from Luke Goss that he gave to the Times: 'There is a contingent who like a freak show. They will always take the p***...But if that's their contribution to the universe then I pity them. I'm kinda sick of being ridiculed. I focus on the good people out there."
At one point in the film Luke Goss says: “Rome wasn’t built in a day...but we don’t have the time Rome had.” Speaking to The Times he reflects on his onscreen comments: "Of course there are funny moments. We spoke passionately and spontaneously. We are working-class London boys. Our books weren’t books, they were record sleeves. I know what I said about Rome was funny. I’m not stupid.”
Was this the funniest show of 2018?
