News: The Goodies & Little & Large Reunite For Slapstick Festival

The Goodies and Little and Large were among the legendary comedians who have reunited as part of the latest Slapstick Festival in Bristol.

On Friday Little and Large were interviewed onstage by Matthew Sweet (pictured). It was the first live stage reunion of the duo in more than 20 years. Eddie began the show by asking: “Hands up who thought we were dead?” at which both he and Syd shot their hands in the air.

The Goodies, Tim Brooke-Taylor, Bill Oddie and Graeme Garden, were interviewed onstage by Richard Herring, who also interviewed Inbetweener Joe Thomas and Inbetweeners co-creator Damon Beesley and (separately) Tim Vine. These interviews will all be released as podcasts, probably after his current run of podcast interviews here.

Herring wrote on his blog: "The nicest thing about today was for me to be able to tell the Goodies what they mean to me (whilst also being rude about how amazing it is that they’re all alive) and to have a full Old Vic theatre applaud them too. They got a well-deserved standing ovation."
