Composer Arthur Sharpe has been nominated for an Ivor Novello Award – known as The Ivors – in the Best Television Soundtrack category for his soundtrack to the second series of Channel 4 comedy Flowers.
Sharpe, the brother of Flowers creator Will Sharpe, has also written music for Women on the Verge, The Darkest Universe, Black Pond and the new BBC One comedy Ghosts.
The Ivors celebrate excellence in songwriting and screen composition, across works released in the UK during 2018. The Awards also honour songwriters and composers with categories recognising their contribution to UK music. The Ivors are sponsored by PRS for Music.
Also nominated in the same category are Clint Mansell for Happy New Year, Colin Burstead and Natasha Khan and Dominik Scherrer for Requiem.
The Ivors will be presented on Thursday 23rd May at JW Marriott Grosvenor House London.
