Actor Andrew Hall, who played Russell, the son of Wendy Craig and Geoffrey Palmer in the classic BBC sitcom Butterflies, has died. He was 65.
Hall was also in Eastenders, Brookside, Hollyoaks and Casualty and played Marc Selby in Coronation Street.
He was in Butterflies, which was written by Carla Lane, from 1978 to 1983.
His agency InterTalent posted the news on social media: "It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our client & friend Andrew Hall who sadly passed away on Monday after a short illness. Andrew was loved by audiences for his many roles, most notably Butterflies, Coronation Street and, more recently, Syfy’s Blood Drive."
Hall is pictured left alongside Wendy Craig, Geoffrey Palmer and Nicholas Lyndhurst, who played his fictional younger brother Adam.
