Amanda Holden has joined the cast of ITV2’s multi award-winning hit comedy PLEBS, with filming of the fifth series commencing in Bulgaria this week. The series will air on ITV2 in autumn 2019. See below.
Holden will play Rufina, a lusty aristocrat at a banquet, who sets her sights onJason, the gate-crashing pleb (played by the returning Jonathan Pointing), making him her plaything for the evening.
Also confirmed to join as series 5 guest cast are Emilia Fox (playing a detective), Tony Robinson (playing an archaeologist), John Thomson, Tracy Ann Oberman, Kevin Bishop, Leo Gregory (playing a chariot hooligan), Nigel Lindsay and Phil Davis.
Series 5 also sees the return of cast including Tom Rosenthal (Marcus), Ryan Sampson (Grumio), Tom Basden (writer, Aurelius), Ellie Taylor (Gloria), Maureen Lipman (Landlady), Karl Theobald (Landlord), Samantha Spiro (Sylvia) andDanny Webb (Lepidus).
PLEBS is written by Sam Leifer and Tom Basden, produced by Teddy Leifer, executive produced by Caroline Leddy and directed by Sam Leifer.
