Comedy acts Ursula Burns, Graeme Mathews and Jimmy Tamley did not make it into the Britain's Got Talent Final.
The latest semi-final, however, was most notable when ventriloquist Jimmy Tamley had a problem when he got David Walliams and Simon Cowell up to be human puppets live onstage in the semi-final at the Eventim Apollo.
Things were going OK until Cowell, who did not look very comfortable in his face mask being voiced by Tamley, walked offstage when Tamley tried to get him to do the can can with Walliams. He later came onstage again from the wings but did not look happy and once back in his chair "vented" his spleen and had a go at the producers.
During the ad break David Walliams tweeted: "I think @SimonCowell is traumatised for life. @BGT"
Elsewhere musical comedian Ursula Burns got a mixed response from the judges when she performed in the Britain's Got Talent live semi-final at the Eventim Apollo in Hammersmith.
The Irish performer arrived onstage from above singing Can't Take My Eyes Off You and playing the harp on a cloud, but then the harp fell to the ground and broke – intentionally. All was not lost though as a second harp floated onto the stage on a bed of dry ice. Her mix of music and comedy did not please everyone though.
Burns got buzzed by Simon Cowell. "I couldn't make any sense of what was going on at all."
David Walliams exclaimed: "It's meant to be bonkers and it's brilliant and it was!"
Alesha Dixon gave Burns "10 out of 10 for originality"
And Amanda Holden said:"it's probably the most surreal thing I have ever witnessed."
Comedian and children's entertainer Graeme Mathews was also on tonight's show and quickly won over the crowd with a wacky dance and a trick, pretending to reassemble a torn-up piece of paper in his mouth. He then went over to the judges and cleaned Amanda Holden's left shoe by "magic". He then did some fireating and seemed to have incinerated Amanda's shoe before producing it in perfect condition from a locked case.
Simon Cowell suggested you need to have a three-year-old mentality to enjoy him best.
Amanda Holden said: "You're lovely, funny."
David Walliams compared him to Tommy Cooper and said: "You are naturally funy and loveable as well."
Alesha Dixon added: "I could listen to you talk for ages."
