Broadcaster and comedian Iain Lee has come out as bisexual.
Speaking on his TalkRADIO show he said that he was seeing a therapist after being in a car accident and his marriage ending: “He’s helped me realise that I’m probably bisexual...So I guess I’m coming out. This is me coming out, I suppose is how they would call it, at the age of 46, and I’m terrified by it.”
He also talked about suffering from depression and having sexual relationships with older men as a teenager which he now saw as abuse. “I’ve been reminded of a lot of stuff that kind of started when I was about 14 or 15 years old, and would involve me basically engaged in sexual acts with significantly older men.”
Lee first became known as one of the hosts of C4's satirical 11 O'Clock Show. He also appeared at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival with Mackenzie Crook. In 2017 he appeared in I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here (pictured). Lee was made Prime Minister of the camp, moving into "10 Downing Creek" and chose stand-up comic Shappi Khorsandi as his deputy.
