Jimmy Patton, one of the older Chuckle Brothers, has died. He was 87.

Patton was not one of the best known Chuckle Brothers duo but was also a performer and will be known to fans of the long-running children's programme ChuckleVision as the character known as No Slacking. Jimmy was in a double act with his brother Brian, know as the Patton Brothers.

His younger brother Barry Chuckle died last August.

A statement on the Chuckle Brothers official Facebook page said: "I just thought I’d let you know that the Chuckle Brothers older Brother Jimmy Patton has sadly passed away. Jimmy was a big part of chucklevision and the stage shows where he played the character No Slacking. RIP Jim Lad. And No Slacking."

Patton married Amy Phillips in 2017. She was a fan of ChuckleVision and they reportedly first met via chatting on Facebook.
