Brexit Party leader Nigel Farage has been pranked on his LBC phone-in show by a caller who claimed to have changed from being a Remain voter to a Leave voter after a "monumental thing".
After some introductory waffle about Boris Johnson the caller, whose Twitter handle is @basementshaxx but was called "Mark" – a new caller from Northampton – on air, explained to Nigel Farage what had happened to him to make him switch sides:
Mark: “I'm immensely grateful to you for everything you've done in British politics. I used to be an ardent remainer and believed in the European project. I believed that staying in Europe was the best thing for us. Then something monumental happened and I completely changed my opinion on the whole situation."
Farage: “What was that monumental thing Mark?”
Mark: “I was kicked in the head by a horse.”
