Chris Ramsey is still in Strictly Come Dancing after week three.
The South Shields stand-up smartened up his act and performed in a white tie and tails with partner Karen Hauer to Cheek to Cheek from the Hollywood classic Top Hat. The judges praised him although Craig Revel Horwood criticised his "basketball hands" and said: “I don’t know what’s going on with them.”
After the Sunday night show Ramsey tweeted: "Thank you all SO SO SO BLOODY MUCH for voting for me and @karen_hauer this week! I’ll be back next week with a new dance, less basketball hands and hopefully a better face during the results... no promises though. Big love guys xxx"
Hauer tweeted: "We will keep working, perservering and trying our utmost best. Thank you to you gorgeous people for all your support, love, messages & basketball dribbling tips. @iamchrisramsey is what Strictly is all about. A non dancer into Week 4, proud of you Ramsey. #NBA."
To which Ramsey relied: "Ok. She’s worded it a lot better than me. That’s annoying..."
Support is growing for Ramsey. Last night he tweeted: "I know I’m not a born dancer but I’m trying me best, getting immersed in the experience and having a proper laugh too."
