Secret Artists is a brand new podcast launching on 7th November 2019, hosted by comedian and artist, Annie McGrath. Each week her guest selects a subject which inspires them both to create an artwork... It could be an object, a place, a person or an animal... Whilst drawing and painting, Annie and her guest enjoy a nice chat. It’s basically funny people doing art. Often silly. Sometimes serious. Mainly relaxing…
Guests include Phil Wang, Rhys James, Mae Martin, Lou Sanders, Harriet Kemsley, Katy Wix, Ellie White & Pierre Novellie. Secret Artists is Turtle Canyon Comedy’s first podcast, created for Acast, home to the world’s best podcasts.
The first two episodes of Secret Artists will be released on 7th November, then one episode weekly from then on. The launch coincides with the lead up to an exhibition Annie is curating of art by comedians, which takes place from 13th – 20th December 2019. Art is the Best Medicine is a unique chance for members of the public to see and buy artworks by the UK’s top comedians, whilst raising money for Mental Health UK. The exhibition will take place at contemporary London gallery, Fiumano Clase.
