Daniel Sloss's critically acclaimed stand-up show X is to be screened in Vue cinemas all over the UK. The screenings will take place on Friday 21st February.
Performing off the back of an already glistening comedy career, Sloss’s record-breaking tenth solo show, and third comedy film, delivers a unique satire on the uncomfortable topics of modern society. Replacing the expected script from male comedians on modern society’s polarising conversations, Sloss offers insights on toxic masculinity, gender and sexuality that are at once deliciously dark, hilarious and profound.
Following an unstoppable, sell-out world tour encompassing 300 performances across 40 countries in 18 months, Sloss’s latest and self-directed show stamps another hallmark on a record already defined by comedy specials on Netflix and HBO. X aired on HBO in America and Canada in autumn 2019.
The show was filmed in front of a sold-out crowd at the Enmore Theatre in Sydney, Australia, and is currently exclusively available to see at select Vue sites in the UK.
Johnny Carr, Event Cinema Manager at Vue UK and Ireland, said: “This really is a unique opportunity to watch and consume a comedy show like you never have before. Watching from in front of the big screen, with the ultimate seat and sound, viewers can really get lost in his performance and immerse themselves in his sharp insight.”
