The Ricky Gervais Netflix series After Life has been voted Best New TV Sitcom in the Comedy.co.uk Awards. Good Omens, starring Michael Sheen and David Tennant, won Best TV Comedy Drama and the overall prize for Best TV Comedy of the Year.

It was a good result for Vic Reeves and Bob Mortimer. Their BBC4 show Big Night Out won Best Sketch Show and Mortimer and Whitehouse: Gone Fishing scooped the Best TV Entertainment Show.

The public vote was organised by the British Comedy Guide.
