The BFI on London's South Bank is to screen two episodes of the second series of Ricky Gervais' acclaimed comedy drama After Life in advance of the programme premiering on Netflix.
The screenings will take place on Sunday, April 19 at 7.15pm. The show streams on Netflix from April 24.
The second series picks up on Tony (Ricky Gervais), a writer for the local newspaper whose life is upended after his wife dies from cancer. Still struggling with immense grief, Tony is trying his hardest to become a better friend to those around him. It once again also stars Kerry Godliman, Tom Basden, Tony Paul Way, Mandeep Dhillon, Roisin Conaty, Joe Wilkinson, Penelope Wilton, David Earl, David Bradley and Diane Morgan.
After the two episodes there will be a live discussion with creator, director and star of the series, Ricky Gervais.
