More cast members have been confirmed for the American pilot of his BBC show This Country, including the two actors who will play American versions of cousins Kerry and Kurtan Mucklowe.

Deadline has reported that Chelsea Holmes, who is both an actor and a stand-up comedian, will play Kelly Mallet and Sam Straley, who has appeared in The Kids Are Alright and Hala will play Shrub Mallet. The mockumentary will be relocated to America.

Taylor Ortega (Kim Possible, Succession) and Krystal Smith will also appear. According to Deadline Ortega will play old schoolfriend Nadine, who is "beautiful, successful and married to Kelly’s old crush". And Smith will be volatile tattoo-sporting local Big Mandy.

As previously reported Seann William Scott, who starred in the recent television remake of Lethal Weapon, looks set to play the role of local priest Father Joe in the Fox pilot. Scott also played Steve Stifler in the American Pie films.

Sex and the City writer and producer Jenny Bicks will be involved in the US version and Bridesmaids director Paul Feig will direct. Original creators/stars Daisy May Cooper and Charlie Cooper will be among the executive producers.
