Billy Connolly has said that he will no longer be doing any stand-up comedy onstage.
He said at the launch of his art exhibition Born on a Rainy Day that his Parkinson's diagnosis had finally put a stop to it.
The legendary comedian, now 77, had previously said in 2018 that he would no longer tour but there were hopes that there mightstill be occasional appearances.
He told Sky News: "I'm finished with stand-up - it was lovely and it was lovely being good at it. It was the first thing I was ever good at."
Connolly added that Parkinson's "made my brain work differently... and you need a good brain for comedy".
In recent years he has made a number of TV programmes including travelogues and the autobiographical Made In Scotland (pictured). And last year he published a book of his routines for the first time, Tall Tales and Wee Stories.
