Channel 4 has confirmed when their first series of hit game show Taskmaster will be starting.
The first Channel 4 series will air this autumn. Nine previous series have aired on Dave.
Some more details have been revealed, suggesting that the show will basically stick to the same format and will feature the same hosts.
The series hosted by Greg Davies as the all-powerful ‘Taskmaster’, alongside Alex Horne as his loyal assistant, will still set out to test the wiles, wit and wisdom of five hyper competitive comedians through a series of strange and surreal challenges.
Alex Horne has previously said: "I can reassure people who like the show that it won’t be changing one bit and I’ll still be forced to do things no one should ever have to do.”
Taskmaster was created by Horne and started as a live show at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe before being developed for television, initially with Channel 4. It was later commissioned by UKTV for Dave where it aired nine very successful series. Now, Taskmaster returns to Channel 4 for its brand-new tenth series, with episodes repeated on E4.
Contestans for the first series will be announced later this year.
