Ant & Dec have announced an exclusive live stream event on 11th September, with the UK’s favourite double act looking back on their three decades in the spotlight. The event is part of Fane Online, a digital programme of exclusive events featuring the likes of Arsène Wenger, Graham Norton, Elizabeth Day, Ovie Soko, Sir Trevor McDonald and more.
The event coincides with the release of their brand new book, Once Upon a Tyne: Celebrating 30 Years Together on Telly, and tickets for A Live Stream with Ant and Dec are now on sale at www.fane.co.uk/ourshows. Santander UK are proud sponsors of the event and the book launch is in aid of The Prince’s Trust.
From their modest beginnings in Byker Grove through to their ‘unique’ time as pop stars and an award-laden TV career, the years have flown by. Ant & Dec will be looking through the lens of their glittering career, the unforgettable experiences and the incredible array of characters crossing their path along the way.
Sharing behind-the-scenes stories and exploring what they’ve learnt in their three decades in showbiz, this hilarious and heartfelt evening will explore the journey of two ordinary lads from Newcastle who went on to achieve extraordinary things, with fans having the opportunity to ask the iconic duo their own questions too.
Ant & Dec said: “Seeing as we can’t meet you all face to face in the current climate, we thought it would be a great idea to put on this event and see you all virtually! You’ll be able to ask us plenty of questions about being on the telly together for 30 years and we can share some of our favourite stories from the book!”
The Fane Online programme features an eclectic array of high-profile figures including Arsène Wenger, Armistead Maupin, Ian McKellen, Elizabeth Day, Ovie Soko, Monty Don, Sir Trevor McDonald, Graham Norton, Fatima Bhutto, Brit Bennett, Sir Ranulph Fiennes, The Receipts Podcast, Fortunately…with Fi and Jane, Stephanie Yeboah, Jay Rayner, Will Boyd and Lady Glenconner, who all have exclusive show shows now on sale.
Fane Online will host these exclusive shows with celebrated authors, actors, podcasters and other high profile figures direct to audiences in the comfort of their own home. All events will be filmed to the highest quality, delivering an at-home cinema-style experience that goes beyond the standard live stream.
Alex Fane, Managing Director of Fane, said: “It has been a tough few months for everyone involved in the arts, so it gives us huge joy to be able to collaborate with so many areas of the industry to deliver a new, creative, exciting proposition. Fane Online offers an unparalleled quality of at-home viewing with an incredibly broad list of shows. We believe that as soon as it is safe to do so audiences will rush back to theatres in great numbers, but until that point is reached we hope this comes as close as possible to being in the room with your favourite author, podcaster or actor.”
Santander UK are long term partners of Ant & Dec, with the duo fronting their successful 'Bank of Antandec' campaign and most recently a campaign supporting the vulnerable and isolated in communities in partnership with Age UK and Alzheimer’s Society.
