The Comic Relief Comedy Club will be returning for a virtual gig next week, with a special Edinburgh Festival Fringe twist.
The virtual Comedy Club will take place on Tuesday 25th August at 7:30pm and, in homage to the iconic Edinburgh Festival Fringe which would have been taking place this month, the line-up includes a mix of regular festival attendees, and former Edinburgh Comedy Award winners and nominees.
Comedian and author Mark Watson will host the gig, which will see some of the most exciting comedy talent on the circuit taking to the virtual stage including Janine Harouni, Elf Lyons, Kate Lucas and Ed Night.
Tickets cost £6, with all profits going to Comic Relief to support people living incredibly tough lives right here in the UK and around the world. This includes people who are homeless, women and families at risk of domestic abuse and those struggling with mental health problems.
For those looking for the full Comedy Club experience, a number of special, limited capacity ‘front row seats’ are available which will put your screen in front of the performers, meaning they’ll see and hear you laugh and applause throughout the show.
Mark Watson said: “I was chuffed to be asked to host Comic Relief’s upcoming Comedy Club this month. Naturally, it’s slightly shorter than the last gig I did for them – a meagre 27 hours – which helps. It’s going to be a great evening with some of the most exciting comedy talent on the circuit; for an even better cause. So, grab yourself a ticket and we’ll see you soon.”
An email confirmation of your ticket will be sent after you have completed your booking, and a Zoom link will be emailed to you on the day of the performance.
