News: Steve Royle Makes It Through To Britian's Got Talent Final

Comedian Steve Royle is in the line-up for the first Britain's Got Talent semi-final.

The programme airs on ITV1 from 8pm on Saturday, September 5.

Seasoned performer Royle was one of the hits of the first edition of Britain's Got Talent on ITV1 when it went out in April.

When he first appared his madcap jokes, prop comedy and wacky juggling with guitars earnt him four thumbs up from the judges, David Walliams, Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden and Alesha Dixon.

Royle is also a panto regular and In 2015 he performed 16 nights at The Manchester Arena as part of the "Phoenix Nights Live" show, helping raise over £5 million in the process. He is well known on the northern comedy circuit.

He was due to star in a stage show about legendary comedian Dan Leno in London's West End this month but due to the coronavirus that has been delayed.

The semi-finals are being filmed without a full audience to comply with social distancing rules.
