Comedian Steve Royle has made it through the the final of Britain's Got Talent 2020 after a nailbiting finish.
Royle, 52 and from Chorley, was the last act to perform in the first show of the new series.
His energetic madcap mixture of prop comedy, jokes and juggling with Ant and Dec seemed to go down very well. He even had a topical joke about hand gel making it harder than ever to juggle. He also had a nice quip about lockdown: "When the auditions went out in April I couldn't leave the house for months."
David Walliams said: "It was one of the funniest performances I've ever seen on the show."
Alesha Dixon said: "You are perfecct for this show."
Amanda Holden said: "You are absolutely what the nation needs."
Ashley Banjo added : "I really really enjoyed it, well done."
But would it be enough to get him through?
At the climax of the show he was was selected as one of the three best acts on the night. The judges then had to pick their top act and they all went for Royle, who goes straight through.
The other comedian semi-finalists are Myra Dubois, Nabil Abdulrashid and Baptist minister and stand-up Allen Finnegan
