Have I Got News for You returns to the studio for its new series, which starts on Friday, October 2 at 9pm on BBC One.
In the last series the guests were online. This will be the 60th series of the satirical quiz show.
Episode 1 of the new series will be guest hosted by actor Damian Lewis, with comedian Chris McCausland* and journalist Katy Balls joining regular team captains Paul Merton and Ian Hislop as the episode’s guest panellists.
Filmed at HIGNFY’s new studio home of Riverside Studios in Hammersmith, this 60th series will, at time of going to press, also see the reintroduction of a studio audience. The audience in studio will be socially distanced and at a reduced capacity.
It is hoped that a second socially distanced audience will watch the record from an additional & separate screening room, with this audience’s live reactions being used to recreate the impact of a full audience.
Have I Got News For You is produced by Hat Trick Productions. The executive producer is Richard Wilson. The series producer is Danny Carr. The executive producer for the BBC is Ruby Kuraishe.
*Chris McCausland replaces the originally billed Josh Widdicombe, so if you see any listings that say Josh Widdicombe they are wrong and I'm right.
