Jim Moir, aka Vic Reeves, and Jools Holland are making a podcast together.
It will be called Joyride and in each episode they will chat to a guest about a motor car that has been important to them. Holland elaborated on the concept to The i. "either because it took them on a journey, because it was a much-loved possession or whatever. It was explained to us that it was a good idea to have a sponsor. I was imagining gucci or Mastercard. Vic suggested Fray Bentos."
The first episode, featuring special guest Bob Mortimer, is out now. Link below. Others who have recorded episodes so far include Jane Horrocks, Squeeze star Chris Difford, writer James Brown, actor Tony Pitts, singer Jessie Ware and former Formula One world champion Damon Hill.
Reeves/Moir and Holland have been friends for a very long time. One of Reeves' first television appearances was on C4's The Tube, co-presented by Holland, where Reeves hosted the spoof game show Square Celebrities. In this picture here you can see them together in 1987 when they were supporting comedian Malcolm Hardee when he stood for election on behalf of the Beer, Fags and Skittles Party. Hardee was an early manager of Reeves.
They also appeared together more recently in Celebrity Gogglebox.
