Comedian and writer Njambi McGrath has received an award towards funding her work.
McGrath has been awarded a John C Laurence Award. This grant, which comes via the The Society of Authors and the Authors’ Foundation, offers funding to works, of any genre, which help to improve understanding between races.
Her memoir 'Through The Leopard’s Gaze' is to be made in to a six-part comedy/drama by Expectation, who made the BAFTA-Award winning show In My Skin.
It has also been announced recently that McGrath is to make a series for Radio 4. The four-parter will be based upon her hit 2019 Edinburgh Show ‘Accidental Coconut’ and will be produced by Richard Melvin of Dabster Productions.
