King's Cross comedy venue 2Northdown has launched a crowdfunder campaign to help get it through the Covid-19 Crisis.
The venue has staged some of the best intimate gigs in London since it took over the space that was previously run by Invisible Dot (who also put on some brilliant gigs there – it's a great space, albeit it one with the toilets on either side of the stage).
They hope to raise £8000.
Nick Mills, who runs the venue (and 21Soho which is currently putting on gigs) and also founded the TicketText Group explained their predicament.
"It's been 261 days since we last had a show at 2Northdown and we miss you all terribly. With no Local Authority or Arts Council Funding, to say it's been a tough year would be an understatement. But we are determined to come back in 2021 (when safe to do so) bigger and better!
But to do this, we need your help...
We have launched a Crowdfunder campaign to help us keep afloat over winter, with some very exciting rewards to all donors including free tickets, free merch, entry into our £100 bar tab competition and even get your name engraved on one of our walls when you 'Buy A Brick.'
Plus, The Mayor's Office will be matching 50% of all donations made so please help share our campaign with any 2Northdown/Comedy fans you know!
We really appreciate every single donation and will be saving you a seat for when we reopen. Here is the link:
