Just when you thought you'd seen the last Big Fat Quiz for a while with the Christmas edition featuring James Acaster, Richard Ayoade, Joe Lycett, David Mitchell, Maya Jama and Stacey Solomon, along comes a brand new Big Fat Quiz Of Eveything looming over the 2021 horizon.
The new episode will be broadcast on Channel 4 on Thursday, 7 January, 2021 at 9pm.
And do you want to know who is on the Big Fat Quiz? We have all the answers.
There's Rob Beckett (pictured left), who, along with his shiny teeth, has become a TV regular in the last couple of years. His Sky shows with Romesh Rangnathan have been particularly enjoyable. BTJ has also enjoyed his Lockdown Parenting Hell podcast with Josh Widdicombe.
Beckett is paired with Roisin Conaty (pictured right), who is a brilliantly funny woman - and an actual stand-up comedian rather than just a famous female celebrity. The Christmas epsiode was criticised for not featuring any female comedians. Conaty is best known for her sitcom GameFace and here's the bad news, sob, Channel 4 has not recommissioned it. The fools. They said: "We were hugely proud to air two series of the game changing GameFace; Roisin deserves so much credit for paving the way in modern female led comedy. The time felt right to draw a line and we've decided not to return to Marcella's wonderfully chaotic life, but hope to work with Roisin again on something new."
Mash Report host Nish Kumar, recently seen bonding with Tom Hanks on Graham Norton's New Year's Eve chat show, is also taking part and he ought to have the answers to any political questions up his sleeve. This routine on Graham Norton's show was posted on Twitter by Laurence Fox, who called him "a comic genius." His moustache makes a rare appearance on this show and deserves a spin-off series of its own.
Katherine Ryan has had a pretty neat 2020, with her Netflix comedy The Duchess getting rave reviews. But let's face it - this appearance is surely even more prestigious. No? Please yourselves.
Oti Mabuse is now the reigning champion of Strcitly Comedy Dancing thanks in part to the fancy footwork of some hairy comedy wizard called Bill Bailey.
And Rob Brydon? Well, where do we begin about Steve Coogan's Trip co-star? He sings, he tells stories. He can do the voices of assorted famous Welshmen. He is taking part in the Big Fat Quiz too.
It's all hosted by Jimmy Carr with guest appearances, as ever, from Jon Snow, Charles Dance, the children from Mitchell Brook Primary School and various celebrity question-setters.
Channel 4 says: "What was a 'bag o'mystery' in Victorian slang? What could you buy down Del Boy's Hooky Street? Who did Johnny Cash have a fight with in 1981? And what American attraction once went by the name 'Rebel Railroad'? All of these questions and more will be answered in the biggest quiz of them all."
