Tickets are on sale now at the link below.
Each show features the very best names in stand-up with Netflix star PHIL WANG , Taskmaster’s JAMALI MADDIX , the undisputed queen of ventriloquism NINA CONTI , Podcast heroes ED GAMBLE and JOHN ROBINS , award-winning SINDHU VEE alongside fast-rising breakthrough talent like Brighton resident MAISIE ADAM and the brilliantly funny DARREN HARRIOT plus many (many!) more - all guaranteeing some much-needed uplifting hilarity for 2021.
Arriving on the scene in summer 2019, the Brighton Comedy Garden enjoyed a hugely successful first year with thousands of comedy fans flocking to the festival. The follow-up edition was sadly one of the many events cancelled last year amid the pandemic, but this summer the Comedy Garden is back and brighter than ever.
Ticket-holders who came to the inaugural event will notice a few changes this year. The event has been specially redesigned to reflect the Government’s Roadmap with added flexibility to introduce social distancing if needed.
Due to the pandemic, this year’s Comedy Garden will take place outdoors. The traditional Big Top tent has been swapped for a fully seated open-air theatre, with all shows presented on an outdoor stage and tickets sold in multiples of two. These changes are designed to ensure a smooth transition should the organisers need to introduce social distancing across the event.
The team behind the Comedy Garden, sibling team Cass Randolph and Will Briggs of the London-based 57 Festivals have already successfully delivered a covid-secure event with their Greenwich Comedy Festival in September 2020.
Cass says: “We were heartbroken to have to cancel last year’s event. We were really looking forward to returning especially after such a strong first year. But everything is in front of us now and we consider ourselves incredibly lucky to have been able to reimagine our event to suit these challenging times.”
Will adds: “We’ve got an unbelievable line-up, and can’t wait to get these acts in front of our Brighton audience. We’re working closely with the local council and our suppliers to make sure we deliver an event that is safe and enjoyable for everyone - and above all very funny!”
Alongside the star-studded line up ticket-holders will be enjoying a tantalising range of pop-up bars serving craft beers, summer-styled cocktails and more to wash down tasty morsels from the leading lights of the local street-food scene, all set in a boutique-festival setting on the leafy lawns of Preston Park, overlooking the thumping heart of Brighton.
