A four-day festival of outdoor stand-up comedy shows is to take place at Thorington Theatre, Suffolk this summer. Big names already confirmed include Simon Amstell, Sara Pascoe, Milton Jones, Nish Kumar, Nina Conti, Phil Wang, Marcus Brigstocke, Shappi Khorsandi, Lou Sanders, Desiree Burch, Ivo Graham and Sophie Duker.
Following on from their sold-out shows at Brighton Open Air Theatre, award-winning production company Show And Tell have announced they will be bringing their outdoor comedy offering Stand-up Under The Stars to Thorington Theatre near Southwold this summer. Performed at this unique new open-air venue nestled in the beautiful surroundings of the Suffolk woodlands, the series of eight shows will run from July 15th – 18th, and will include performances from Simon Amstell, Sara Pascoe, Milton Jones, Nish Kumar, Nina Conti, Phil and many more.
Tickets will be £23 - £25, and the venue is located a 55 minute drive from both Norwich and Ipswich, and a 2.5 hour drive from London, with easy access from the A12 and field parking available on site. Train travel from London to Ipswich takes around 75 minutes, and there will be the option to book a ticket bundle from £38, which includes shuttle bus travel to and from Ipswich railway station.

Thorington Theatre is a new 350 seat outside space being built in the beautiful Suffolk woodland. It is being constructed with the smallest carbon footprint possible; all the timber has been sourced through sensitive and sustainable coppicing of surrounding chestnut trees. The site is a bomb crater from WWII, which left a natural amphitheatre. Thorington Theatre aims to be as eclectic and inclusive as possible; productions will range from those of local youth theatre groups to national touring companies, and from Shakespearian classics to folksy musicals.
Show And Tell is an award-winning production company, of live comedy and theatre, with a national and international programme of events. With teams in London and New York, we seek to play an integral role in the careers of many world-class and emerging performing arts talents. Their long-running, regular mixed-bill stand-up nights include performances at Marlowe Theatre Canterbury, Alban Arena St Albans, Brighton Dome, Hackney Empire London and many more. Acts appearing have included the likes of Stewart Lee, Stephen Merchant, Vic Reeves, Adam Buxton, Daniel Kitson, Sara Pascoe, Dave Gorman, James Acaster, Mark Thomas, Nina Conti, and hundreds of others.
