The Last Leg is back for a brand new series tonight (Friday, Sept 24) with regulars Adam Hills, Josh Widdicombe and Alex Brooker returning.

Though some fans of course may feel it hasn't been away - the last series earlier this year was followed by a run of Paralympics specials.

In fact one of tonight's guests was a regular reporter on the Paralympics series – Rosie Jones joins the team tonight.

The other guest is stand-up, podcaster and one of the stars of the recent Cinderella movie, James Acaster. Acster also co-hosts the Dave show Hypothetical with Josh widdicombe.

It's always fun to see James Acaster on television. And he famously caused a kerfuffle on a previous Last Leg appearance. He was a guest with Lorraine Kelly and was horrified when she suggested that Piers Morgan might possibly be in contention as her hero of the year, although she did go on to qualify her initial remark. Watch what happened below.

The usual items including #isitok will be returning. And Josh Widdicombe may possibly mention that he has a new book out, Watching Neighbours Twice a Day...: How ’90s TV (Almost) Prepared Me For Life. Widdicombe has recently been doing a lot of publicity for the book and is also back on tour so if he looks a little bleary-eyed it might be understandable.
