The Ranganation is back and Romesh Ranganathan is joined this Sunday in the studio by comedian Jack Dee and Emmy-award winner Hannah Waddingham. The trio unpack this week’s news along with the Ranganation (via zoom) - 20 loveable, outspoken characters who represent a cross section of modern Britain, including Romesh’s mum, Shanthi Ranganathan.

This week, everyone’s talking about Bond and Romesh has looked into the odds on either himself, Jack or Hannah, one of the stars of Apple TV's Ted Lasso, playing the next Bond. Hannah Waddingham has the highest odds of playing Bond, followed by Romesh and then lastly Jack.

Romesh Ranganathan to Hannah Waddingham– “Now you’re an award-winning actor, would you be interested in playing Bond?”

Hannah Waddingham  – “No! Because James Bond is James Bond, man! I think it’s unimaginative.”

Romesh Ranganathan – “My odds on playing Bond are 500 to 1, mum do you think I’d make a good Bond?”

Shanthi Ranganathan – “Yeah, as long as you lose your bouncy castle. James Bond doesn’t have a big stomach! Otherwise don’t think about it”

Romesh Ranganathan – “I’m not thinking about it and I tell you what else I’m not thinking about – coming round to see you anytime soon”
