Comedian Louis CK is set to play two gigs in London and one in Scotland later this year. He will perform at the Eventim Apollo on October 3. He plays Wembley Arena on October 4 and Glasgow Hydro on October 6 as part of a European tour.
His vist will be the first time he has performed in the country since his career was rocked by a sex scandal in 2017. After there were allegations that the comic masturbated in front of women he issued a statement: "I want to address the stories told to the New York Times by five women named Abby, Rebecca, Dana, Julia who felt able to name themselves and one who did not.
These stories are true. At the time, I said to myself that what I did was okay because I never showed a woman my dick without asking first, which is also true. But what I learned later in life, too late, is that when you have power over another person, asking them to look at your dick isn’t a question. It’s a predicament for them. The power I had over these women is that they admired me. And I wielded that power irresponsibly." Read the full statement here.
CK has gigged in other parts of Europe since the incident and was due to play in Kyiv in February, but the Russian invasion scuppered those shows.
