John Bishop had a tougher journey home after the Champions League Final than he had hoped for.
After his team lost to Real Madrid 0:1 Liverpool fan Bishop thought he had lucked in when he bagged a seat on a club charter flight next to actor Damian Lewis.
Things looked good when Lewis tweeted: "With @johnbishop100 on our way home from Paris. Top lad. YNWA."
Unfortunately things did not go to plan as they documented on Twitter:
Bishop wrote: "I managed to get a seat on a club charter flight from Paris. This felt like a win when I got on with @lewis_damian. More than 5 hours later and we have not moved I wish I had got the train #crapweekend".
"You can see the cracks in our relationship developing ...." he then tweeted, alongside a picture of them pulling desperate faces posted by Lewis with the words: "Make that 6 hours me and @JohnBishop100 day 2 in the Big Brother House"
Eventually they managed to get into the cockpit at the picture here shows: "S’alright @JohnBishop100 and me have had an idea…" tweeted Lewis. Bishop replied: "He made me do it your honour ...."
It was a better weekend for comedian Matt Forde, whose beloved Nottingham Forest secured promotion to the Premier League after beating Huddersfield Town 1:0. The former European Cup winners will return to the Premier League for the first time in 23 years.
Forde tweeted: "We did it. I’m so so happy but I can’t stop crying. Part of me thought I’d never actually see this. I love them all so much #NFFC"
The comic will be hosting a public celebration in the city tomorrow in Old Market Square tomorrow lunchtime to celebrate #nffc's promotion.
