Jonathan is joined this week on Bonfire Night by multi-platinum selling singer and fellow Masked Singer panellist Rita Ora, everyone’s favourite father and son footballing duo Harry and Jamie Redknapp, comedian Sindhu Vee and Hollywood actor and singer Luke Evans. Plus, the singer-songwriter with three consecutive UK No 1 albums, Paolo Nutini, will be performing live in the studio.
In the battle of the talk shows Graham Norton seems to be edging ahead at the moment. He has arguably had the bigger movie stars although Ross does seem to land some pretty big stand-up acts. Last week he had Rob Beckett and Judi Love but Lena Dunham had to pull out, which was a shame. By contrast Norton had Bono and Taylor Swift trading anecdotes and Eddie Redmayne flying the flag for Brits in Hollywood alongside soccer pundit Alex Scott.
This week the emphasis sounds like it could be on genial blokey banter, with Ross joined by fellow Masked Singer judge Rita Ora and the Redknapp father and son duo of Harry Redknapp and Jamie Redknapp. Luke Evans might possibly blast out a show tune and there will definitely be music from Paulo Nutini.
On the show Rita Ora says her husband Taika Waititi is her 'favourite person' and talks about co-hosting the MTV EMAs with him when the show is broadcast live from Düsseldorf on November 13. Ora previously hosted the award show in 2017
The Redknapps seem to be becoming something of a sporting dynasty. Jamie Redknapp's son Charley – Harry's grandson – recently moved to America to pursue his career as a rugby player at the University Of Arizona. Charley's mum is pop star Louise Redknapp.
Ross is always entertaining and the show is never less than fun but this week's edition could do with a bit more full-on comedy talent. Last week Judi Love, who was not in the original billings for the show, turned up and almost upstaged the other guests. Let's see if there is a late addition to the line-up this week who can bring the fireworks.
