Deep Fake Neighbour Wars is a new comedy impressions show dropping on ITVX in January 2023.
Produced by Tiger Aspect, part of Banijay UK, the six part series is the world's first long form narrative show that uses Deep Fake technology.
Loved up Nicki Minaj and Tom Holland vs Mark Zuckerberg, Billie Eilish and Taekwondo teacher Beyonce, Mark Wahlberg and wannabe strongman Chris Rock. Stormzy and Harry Kane (pictured). Some of the celebrities, all embroiled in petty silly neighbour disputes, which sounds a little like the old BBC series Stella Street but with much more sophisticated computer-based techniques.
It uses the very latest in AI technology to turn the UK's best new impressionists into the world's most famous celebrities – only here they are ordinary people who happen to be embroiled in petty silly neighbour disputes.
There have been concerns that some viewers might think the people in it are the real people, according to an article in The Independent, which says: 'the entire thing is watermarked with a “deep fake” logo that seems designed to prevent scenes being presented out of context online.'
The series is by Edinburgh Comedy Award-nominee Spencer Jones (Mister Winner, The Mind of Herbert Clunkerdunk), with a writing team including Jordan Gray, Josh Pugh, Travis Jay, Erika Ehler, Laura Smyth, Jason Lewis, Leila Navabi, Nico Tatarowicz and Lucy Pearman.
