Creator and star of the award-winning Meet The Richardsons, host of Channel 4’s Odd Couples, and Edinburgh Comedy Award nominee Lucy Beaumont is set to hit the road for the first time ever with her highly anticipated tour of the brand new stand-up show, ‘The Trouble and Strife’. Beaumont will perform across the UK from Wednesday 4th October to Sunday 3rd December including two shows at London’s Bloomsbury Theatre on Wednesday 1st November and Sunday 3rd December.

The award-winning comic (before she met comedian Jon Richardson) is going to let loose and let slip on her rollercoaster world overflowing with off-beat stories, unusual anecdotes, and bizarre journeys through modern day womanhood. Life through the Beaumont lens is more surreal than you could ever imagine.
Known for her comic views on everyday life, Beaumont is best known for starring in and writing the fictional sitcom of her marriage Meet the Richardsons (Dave) which won Best Comedy Programme at the Broadcast Digital Awards, has been commissioned for a fifth series, and was described as “occupying the sweet spot between Curb Your Enthusiasm and The Only Way is Essex” by The Times. Beaumont has also created and co-written Hullraisers, the six-part female led comedy series which launched on Channel 4 last year. On the airwaves Beaumont is the writer and star of BBC Radio 4’s To Hull and Back. While she can currently be seen as the host of Channel 4’s brand new comedy entertainment show Odd Couples which premiered earlier this month.
Regularly featured on our screens, Beaumont has appeared on The Last Leg (C4), 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown (C4), Celebrity Gogglebox (C4), Ranganation (BBC Two), Guessable (Dave), One Night In… (C4), QI (BBC Two), Ultimate Worrier (Dave), Alan Davies As Yet Untitled (Dave), The Jonathan Ross Show (ITV1), and The One Show (BBC One).
On stage, Beaumont’s stand-up career has garnered huge critical acclaim with her Edinburgh Festival Fringe runs which have seen her receive numerous accolades including being nominated for the Best Newcomer Award with her debut Edinburgh show, We Can Twerk It Out. Her stand-up has also seen her win BBC’s New Comedy Award as well as a Chortle Award for Best Newcomer. As a writer, Beaumont is the author of the part-memoir-part-comedy book Drinking Custard: The Diary of a Confused Mum was published by Octopus Publishing in 2021.
