The Southwest’s biggest comedy festival Bristol Comedy Garden presented by heycar returns to its roots in Queen Square this June 14-18th, with a Big Top bursting with incredible comedy.
Catch one of Britain’s best loved comedy stars JACK DEE, Off Menu co-host ED GAMBLE, the phenomenal SARA PASCOE, legendary Bafta and Perrier Award winner DYLAN MORAN, British Comedy Award winner NINA CONTI, Qi’s ALAN DAVIES plus many more at this year’s spectacular homecoming festival which follows two years of open-air shows on The Downs.
Comedy Garden heroes including cult comic/poet TIM KEY, Scotland’s queen of comedy FERN BRADY, lo-fi champ DAVID O’DOHERTY, Bristol’s homegrown stand-up superhero JAYDE ADAMS, Taskmaster’s PHIL WANG, Edinburgh Comedy Award winner BRIDGET CHRISTIE, the Mash Report’s RACHEL PARRIS and The Last Leg star ROSIE JONES will be guaranteeing the good times.
Look out for razor-sharp sets from the brightest newcomers on the stand-up scene including the lauded ANIA MAGLIANO, KYRAH GRAY, DANIEL FOXX, SHARON WANJOHI to name just a few.
The five-night comedy extravaganza is a city favourite. Each year a series of mixed-bill shows, featuring the absolute best names in comedy combine with quality bars and street food from the leading lights of the local scene.
Since 2011 comedy lovers from Bristol and beyond have made their annual pilgrimage to bask in the brightest and boldest names in comedy in a vibe-filled festival setting.
The Devon-raised sibling duo behind the festival, Will Briggs and Cass Randolph of 57 Festivals, are thrilled to bring this year's Comedy Garden back to its true home.
Cass says: “We’re very grateful to have been able to transform the festival into the open-air shows on The Downs. But it all began for us in Queen Square and we’re beyond excited to be heading back again, it’s like a cathartic full circle following the challenging pandemic years.”
Will adds: “We also can’t wait to get back into the Big Top, the atmosphere for the shows is incomparable, and the acts we have this year will undoubtedly be raising the roof!”
This year’s event is partnered with online new and used car marketplace heycar.
